Role Overview

Join a premier hedge fund as a Taiwanese Rates and FX Portfolio Manager, managing a book of $100M+. This pivotal role demands a profound understanding of the Taiwanese economy and the unique nuances of its rates and FX market. Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Directly manage a dynamic portfolio focused on Taiwanese rates and FX, including currencies, bonds, interest rate swaps, and futures
  • Design and implement an investment strategy that aligns seamlessly with the fund's overarching objectives
  • Closely monitor portfolio performance, making timely adjustments to both optimize returns and mitigate risks

Research and Strategy Formulation

  • Rigorously investigate potential investment avenues across the Taiwanese currency and rates domains
  • Keep a keen eye on market trends, local economic signals, and specific factors affecting the Taiwanese financial landscape to inform investment decisions
  • Partner with the research division to curate tailor-made investment tactics that harness the fund's full potential

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in FX and rates trading, with a focus on Asian markets. Direct expertise in Taiwanese markets is a significant advantage
  • At least 3 years in a portfolio management capacity within a buy-side establishment, backed by a consistent record of strong returns
  • Demonstrable history of managing portfolios with low risk, high liquidity, and a high Sharpe ratio
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fixed Income and Macroeconomic trading strategies as they apply to the Taiwanese context
  • MSc/BSc from a renowned institution, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, or related fields. Master's degree is favored
  • A collaborative spirit, with excellent communication skills and an ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
